Apartment Review for The Overlook Apartments - Scottsdale, AZ

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I moved out after 5 months; lost all my deposits and had to buy out my lease but there was no way in hell that I was going to stay another day longer!

1. Worst workmanship I've ever seen. You can hear EVERY SINGLE thing your neighbor says, does and whatever else. If you enjoy sleeping, you won't get any here. The floors squeek, snap and pop and very loudly at that. You simply cannot get any sleep or enjoy a peaceful day/night in your apartment.

2. SCORPIONS! My apartment was INFESTED with them. Could not get rid of them. I know this is the desert, but an infestation of scorpions? Come on now.

3. COCKROACHES! Disgusting, HUGE sewer roaches. THE WORST INFESTATION IMAGINABLE! Absolutely disgusting.

4. Plumbing. You would swear the water pipes were going to shoot right through your wall. Seriously, I was woken at 12:11 am by my neighbor taking a shower. I was asleep and it startled me so badly that I actually fell out of my bed! If you are leaning against your vanity when your neighbor takes a shower, you feel a massive vibration from the waterpipes.

5. The parking is horrible and you have to pay for a covered parking space. It was $10 per month when I lived there, now I believe it is $25 per month.

The area is very beautiful but the apartments themselves need to be leveled and rebuilt. Also there are more and more youger people who like to party often (3-4 times a week) moving to the apartments.

I moved out in August of 2006. Unless you don't care about all the things I've mentioned above, do not move here. It will be your worst mistake!
