The model apartment that they show you is absolutely gorgeous. Too bad your apartment looks nothing like that. From the start we've had nothing but problems with the incompitent staff. We moved in on a Saturday, and they never bothered to write that down, and we almost were left homeless since they were unsure if our apartment would be finished being cleaned. When we got into our apartment, you could tell the place had been cleaned super quick. Our "brand new carpet" had stains by the front door, and is coming off along the walls. It's loose in spots, and in the bedroom, the floor boards are uneven. Step too far to the left, and you can feel the tiles lift up. In the bathroom, our electrical outlets were put on upside down. When I asked about this, the girl told me, "Well, you can use them like that." The miniblinds in the bedroom fell off the window when I attempted to open them. Our screen doors and closet doors come off the tracks with each use. When we use our microwave, every light in the apartment dims. And parking, forget it. Our covered space is roughly a mile away from our apartment, and the extra twelve guest spaces are taken up by 3pm. Good luck parking anywhere near your section if you come home past 9pm.

For the most part, the atmosphere is ok. Thursday nites onward people began playing loud music, and the apartment below us constantly reeks like weed. Just the other day, the police came for a domestic dispute that following the shrieks from below. The neighbors are semi-friendly, but watch out when they drive. No one bothers to look as they back out of spaces, or zoom around corners.

And forget asking the front desk people for any help at all. Most of them are lazy, and spend their day eating donuts. No joke. When I told one girl I was just dropping my rent check off, she looked at me blankly and said, "Is this how much your rent is?", all while eating a glazed donut. And don't expect them to be able to locate your file OR know anything remotely related to the complex.

As for the gated community, the gates open automatically. You don't need a code to get in, even though they act like you do. After being asked to select a code, we have never had to use it. Oh, and since they've installed the gates, they've been broken twice. Right now, the left side is always propped open, and anyone can wander through. They are really tacky, and not the least bit secure.
