This was a nice place when I moved in earlier this year. Quiet, great staff, well maintained. A month after I moved in, it sold and became Monticeto Cove. Since then it has gone to hell. The units were repainted. Ok, they needed it, but the colors are HORRIBLE. The entrance lights were replaced, but only after the fixtured were removed and the wires left hanging for 3 weeks, live and exposed to the elements. I called the Scottsdale Building Inspector over that one. The parking lot was torn up with no notice. There was a small note on the mailbox stating that they apologized for the last minute notice about the parking lot work. Maybe they thought we didn't see the workers painting the cut lines on the parking lot 2 days before they actually started. The parking lots were then resurfaced, very poorly, and whatever they did when it was torn up didn't fix the drainage problem. All with little notice, and not enough room to park elsewhere. The pools were closed with no notice, as well as the exercise room. The office staff.... With the exception of two people, the office staff is horrible. They do not care about the residents and frankly act like we are an inconvenience for them. The constant foot traffic of people walking the property before the big open house was distracting enough. This past weekend was a nightmare. You could barely get into the parking lot to get to your own apartment. There were people everywhere, and the office staff was no where to be found. Holes were dug to add lines to the irrigation system, but they were not covered or taped off, and were then left for a week before being filled in. The water was out 3 times in a week. They blamed it on the construction on 96th st. Again, maybe thinking we wouldn't notice the plumbing company that was there late into the night trying to fix whatever it was they had broken. The city of Scottsdale always notifies if there is even the slightest chance that their work might cause unexpected interruptions in the water service. When the women came around with the petition to sign, I didn't even let her finish what she had to say. I asked for a pen. I don't expect it to go anywhere, but at least it will let them know that the residents are pissed off. In the meantime, I've been happy to give my opinion to the people looking at the models. |
