Apartment Review
Dude, where do I park my car?
Review Date: 8/30/2004 Reviewer: Anonymous
I lived in the Regents for 6 months, and I would not go back. For starters, the walls are paper thin. I could hear one of my neighbors peeing whenever he was in the bathroom and I could hear my other neighbor every morning blaring music at about 7am. The snooty manager called me and accused me of not picking up after my dog (I never had a dog) the first week I was there. Then I found out that to get into the gates, you must have a gate key. If your friends do not have one of these $40 keys, you must have a land line to let them in. Well, I only had a cell phone, so I had to walk all the way across the complex to let them in. Also my apartment was in such a location that I could not recieve satalite tv and digital cable is not an option. Welcome to the 21st century, Regents. Also, do NOT move here if you have more than one car. Unless your apartment comes with a garage, you will be fighting over parking spaces. My assigned parking spot was far from my apartment and I had 2 cars. When I complained about the lack of parking spaces they told me to park somewhere else. . . like the grocery store parking lot! Then they hired a parking solutions company and I got tickets for ridiculous offences such as backing into my parking space. When my lease was up management informed me that my rent would go up almost $100. After I stoped laughing, I told them no thanks. Whatever you do shop around before signing away 6 months to 1yr of your life away at this overpriced apartment complex. |
