Apartment Review for Irvine Park - Scottsdale, AZ

I rented this for price and size of the unit. I will never do this again. The unit was painted before I moved in but there were paint stains all over the carpet. I thought the carpet would be replaced but it wasn't and there were stains all over it from the prior tennant even after being cleaned. I put in a work order and it took a week for them to respond - and only after I called them to check the status, I couldn't use my bathroom sink since the stopper was stuck and water wouldn't drain and it took them 2 days to fix it that made it 9 days without use of the sink. The patio doors don't lock properly, the bathroom fixtures fall off the wall if you put any weight on them. The overall appearance when I looked at the apartment complex seemed okay but now as I walk around, there is so much junk on people's patios -it looks trashy someone even keeps a motorcycle on their patio. My unit overlooks the pool and I cannot keep anything on it other than true patio furniture per the manager (although he never mentioned this before I signed the lease) yet the unit across from me is loaded with junk and I had to get rid of my bike when it was on the patio. I was told you cannot grill on the 2nd floor patios yet I have counted a couple dozen grills on second floor patios. There are also washers and dryers on the patios overlooking the pool which is apparently okay but you cannot keep a bike on it! I was also told the pool is watched closely for unattended children but they always are there without supervision screaming and yelling. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything in the units below and beside you. They do not do criminal background checks I met a convicted felon at the pool one day who spoke freely of his conviction so it really doesn't make me feel that safe since I have no idea how many more ex-felons live on the property. A real nightmare!!
