Apartment Review for Edge - Scottsdale, AZ

Pretty much EVERYTHING being rated here is a big fat ZERO except for the grounds (and that's if you don't mind the skeevy dudes blowing leaves for 3 hours THREE times a week). When I got here in early 08, part of the interview process was notifying residents that on Mondays (ONLY) there would be noise from routine grounds maintenance. Why anyone really needs leaves blown around (and their allergies reactivated 3x weekly is beyond me). Also in the new rental interview is a strict checklist of forbidden behaviors and community respect guidelines - HAH! Not only does the office not support their own rules - but if your lucky enough to get the current property manager when you complain she will make you feel like a judgmental jerk for complaining and tell you to just call the cops (which is really your only choice since after hours emergency and maintenance is a voicemail). Her goal and the rest of the Edge management - is to let anything with a pulse into this once pristine community - so you end up with a bunch of disrespectful losers who love to fight, do crystal and pretty much terrorize everyone else who is following the rules. Arrests are a fairly common occurrence here (made easier since the "security" gate is always open). I asked the concierge - who are the only people who will treat you civilly here, why this gate WE PAY FOR has been broken for six weeks and she couldn't tell me much except that everyone asks the same thing and wonders why Scottsdale PD is constantly here (recently 4 times in one day). USe your heard-earned $ elsewhere, and feel peaceful and safe for yourself and your dogs.
