Apartment Review for Crown Court - Scottsdale, AZ

These apartments are well maintained on the outside, are moderately clean, have a great location and are relatively inexpensive. Otherwise the apartments are abysmal. The interior maintenance is a complete joke. The appliances are from the 1970s, the cabinetry could be better built by my three year old, and the condition of the shower tile is so bad that it is failing out. To give you a flavor, when we noticed that the upstairs bathroom appeared to be leaking into our bathroom walls below (1 ½ foot long paint blister with water draining out one Sunday), we called maintenance and they promptly came out to look at it and promised to fix the problem the next day. That was three weeks ago and I suspect the fix will be painting over the damage when we move out in a couple of months (it would be consistent with how it looks like they have handled previous repairs). Another example would be when we called to complain that our circa. 1972 side-by-side refrigerator was freezing things that were placed near the adjacent freezer wall. Solution: I could either get you a different one that will do the same thing or you could not put things next to the freezer side of the refrigerator, your choice (so helpful!).

As for the front office, I completely agree with the reviewer that suggests the staff is from a different planet. My wife and I moved a couple of months ago from the Seattle area and expected that at least reasonably intelligent people ran this place. We were wrong. Skip speaking to anybody except the manager and assistant manager. The sales agent that helped us initially for about two hours (mind you it was my wife, two children under three and myself) could not remember us after we left for 15 minutes to get a in-state check to pay the first months rent. With all of that in mind, these apartments are perfect for short-timers looking to pay cheap rent for a livable apartment while they look for a house  we were certainly motivated to find one!
